Freeloaders

10:00 PM, 18 June. So I’m currently typing away at Prince Plaza which is a condo across Greenbelt. Why am I here instead of in my room at Iloilo? I’m away on “business” of course! Here’s the deal: I’m a part of my high school’s Centennial Celebration team as an interviewer cum film-taker for a short documentary. When I was assigned the job, I was surprised that one of the perks (and deaths) of the job was the chance to be in Manila, expenses paid by the lovely Mrs. Chona Layson-Bondoc. So here I am on an eating spree 🙂

Lunch: Fely J’s Kitchen which is a Filipino & Asian restaurant. Lovely interiors of framed old-school photographs & wooden bauls were scattered all over the wood-laden venue for our lunch. Tita Chona ordered Sinigang in Guava Broth which was delightfully & fruitily sour, some Pork Satay with the usual peanut sauce & some Jasmine Garlic Rice.

Dinner: Cyma, a Greek estiatoria. Aside from the delicious Walnut Salad (heavenly), steak and pasta that we ordered, I individually ordered my Mixed Meat Gyro – tomatoes, meat, onions in a pita wrap & Tatziki potatoes (yum) on the side. To say I’m full is an understatement. I am positively stuffed.

Dessert: Qoola! Although the Wild Berry was too strong for me, all in all, it was scrumptious with my choice of sprinkles and marshmallows.
